These are a firm favourite for many of our customers with the classic drilled and grooved appearance, but without the pitfalls of having a through drilled disc or more commonly described as cross drilled disc. Cross drilled discs allow channelling of hot gasses into the tunnel section of the brake discs in aid to assist the cooling of the discs, however for most brake discs this has a serious flaw resulting in hot spot surrounding the holes often resulting in cracking originating from the holes. Halo dimpled and grooved brake discs overcome this problem and offer additional reliability over cross drilled discs, the dimples work in much of the same way allow gasses to sink into the small pockets and immediately escaping once the pocket has passed the pad surface, the grooves also carry out the same task but also help to de-glaze your brake pads and assist with parallel brake pad wear.

As our stock is cycled the discs supplied may or may not have a anti-corrosion coating around the hub area, some discs may even be Geomet coated depending on the specific application, if this is important to you please check with us before purchasing. HALO brake discs perform on the road and on the track but as you can imagine the temperatures achieved on the track are usually much higher than seen under normal road use, if using on the track it's important that extra care is taken during fitment and post fitment. Ensure the hubs are cleaned before fitment. Ensure there is no excess free play in wheel bearings. Ensure the brake discs are running true before use by measuring run-out. Ensure the brake caliper pistons and slides are move freely checking slides for wear. Ensure tightening torques are adhered too. After fitment and road-testing re-check the wheel torque, this is especially important when using on track use after several laps, as the heat absorbed by the brake discs will transmit through to the wheel hub and wheel, this causes your components to expand and may lead to reduced wheel tightening torque. This will lead to brake vibrations when braking and may permanently damage your brake discs and ruin your track day enjoyment. ALL HALO Sport brake discs are supplied as an axle set unless otherwise stated. A medium to low dust material that offer a nominal 10-15% brake improvement. As an eco-friendly pad grade, EBC Greenstuff 2000 contains no lead, copper, or toxic sulfides to comply with all environmental legislation and is a direct replacement for your stock or original pads reducing stopping distances and improving brake response. Not ideal for track use, although many drivers have used Greenstuff 2000 for Hillclimb and lighter cars on the track For even faster street driving you might consider the EBC Yellowstuff grade or for race use the EBC new Bluestuff or RP and SR series pads. EBC GreenstuffT has a high initial brake effect and gives drivers confidence from first application of the brake pedal. There is no such thing as a no dust pad. The very nature of how a brake works requires that some dust be generated to avoid rotor vibration (shimmying). The EBC pad creates less dust and dust is more easily washed off than most.

All pads create more dust as they are bedding in especially if rotors are worn. Nominal friction coefficient 0.55.
